Many international schools follow curricula specially designed for international schools such as the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (iGCSE) or the IB Diploma Programme that are all predominantly committed to the notion of internationalism and the global citizen. Which syllabus?


IGCSE: British curriculum which is the most popular international program for students aged between 14 and 16 years. This diploma is recognised around the world by most of the leading universities such as Cambridge, Oxford and Harvard.

IGCSE students need to pass the ordinary level examination to enter into the Advanced Level program.


A Level: This diploma is an English qualification necessary for students aged between 16-19 years to gain access to the most prestigious universities in the United Kingdom. This diploma is recognised by most of the best universities worldwide.


International Baccalaureate (IB): This diploma is taken by students aged of 16-19 years old and it is recognised by most of the best and leading universities worldwide. It requires students to study six subjects within two years, as well as additional academic courses in philosophy, creativity and service, and writing a final essay.


Note: Some international schools offer a mixture of IGCSE (up to grade 11) and International Baccalaureate.
